A Track Record of Success and Service

After earning his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law, Allan began his successful career in law as an attorney for a San Francisco firm and then as in-house counsel for Chevron in San Francisco.

Allan later joined law firms in the Bay Area and represented individuals, families and corporations on large and small land use and development projects.

Allan has successfully obtained General Plan Amendments, rezones, and related land use permits and approvals for hundreds of residential and commercial projects in numerous Bay Area counties and cities.

Allan has extensive experience in working with counties and cities on projects requiring environmental impact reports (EIRs) and related environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

Allan served as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Walnut Creek for nearly 10 years.

Prior to establishing his small private practice, Allan retired in 2022 as a partner at Fennemore Wendel in their Oakland office.
